Do boys get it?

I’m halfway there! 2 papers down, 2 more to go…the one that I had this afternoon was quite crappy coz I got nervous and went mind-blank >.< Tempted to feel horrible and throw a tantrum, but was reminded about Ps Mike on the joy of the Lord being our strength. And also on the story that he told about his son who said ‘you’ve ruined my whole life!’ when Ps Mike asked him to go to bed early that night. Such simple story, and yet so striking and meaningful – coz it really helped me to put things into perspective =)

So yeap, tomorrow morning, another one! And then will have a break until next Tuesday. People are all finishing exams, and leaving for home =( By the time I finished exams, I think most of them will be gone! Still don’t know what I am going to do during the holidays yet, will probably rest and rest and rest =P

Gather. Equip. Mobilise. Those were the three words that caught my attention when I was listening to Ps Bobbie Houston’s sermon on “Shaping the 21st Century Women’. Had been thinking about women’s ministry lately. I think the first thought that most of us have whenever we talk about women’s ministry will be – coffee, tea, biscuits >.< Well, at least that was what that came into my mind =P

I think now I understand why Cutting Edge have girls’ and boys’ group. I think mixed guy-girl group provides an environment (or atmosphere?) that is different to an all-guy or all-girl group – couple ministry should be encouraged, because it provides a place where a couple can grow spiritually together. But I also believe that girls should meet together and encourage each other in ways that aren’t possible in a mixed group. I am not sure whether sometimes boys really get what girls are all about. Probably they do, but how much?

Just like what Ps Bobbie Houston said, it’s not just about doing women ministry, it’s about the 52% of the world’s population. 52% of the world needs encouragement, they need TLC (tender loving care), they need mentoring, they need someone to believe in them.

We are all part of His army, we are serious about building His kingdom and making a difference, we want to stand up and be counted. We want to be the ‘helper’ as someone that comes along side, as someone that fills the gap. But where do we start? That’s my question. Where do I start?

What does it mean to be a woman who chases after God’s heart? What does it mean to be a woman that truly is captivating?

I wanna start by this:

Proverbs 31:25-26: She is clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instructions is on her tongue.

Time to read Captivating again… =)
To me, there's nothing more beautiful on this earth than a woman who fears the Lord.
