Time for everything

Without realising it, holidays are coming to an end =( Time really does fly, doesn't it? But it's been a great 3 week, not so much of relaxing and free time, but I'd rather my holidays to be filled with great company and friendships than just sleeping and waking up late everyday =P (tho I do miss the waking up late part, just a tiny bit =P).

I am so glad that I get to spend more time with my old/new friends and know them better as well. Even though many nights ended at around 1a.m., it was still worth it =) Playing mafia was definitely one of the many highlights - you'll never know what reasons people can give you just to convince you that they're innocent, and the looks on their faces, you really can't tell whether they're telling the truth or not (with the exception of some of my female friends, you know who you are =P).

Going to Bersatu Games was interesting too =D Hehe...watching Las winning the gold for singles' men match made the whole experience all the more worthwhile =D (the mixture of nerves and excitement made sitting in the cold, cold, cold gym not so torturing) Besides, there were many Las' supporters who accompanied me...some of whom (that shouted at every single smash and even during warm-ups) made him confused (or embarassed =P) Haha..but Chewy is still our huni-buni! He always brightens up the day =)

The closing ceremony was longgggg... but watching Las get cheered on by the Otago team when he received his gold made me feel so proud of him =D Not only because of the fact that he won the game, but that man displays the highest level of sportsmanship that I’ve ever known. I’ve known a lot of people who gets so frustrated during a game, and I have no idea how he can still smile during a match, and making sure his opponents are okay after the match >.< A game well played, Las! =)

As the holidays draw to an end, I’m looking forward to second semester! =) I thank God for His mercy and grace for my first semester, and the opportunity to serve Him and His people. I thank Him for the courage and strength that He has granted me when I felt discouraged and too burnt out to go on. I thank Him for putting people in my lives that offer real support and words of encouragement when I needed the most.

I know that the coming semester will be just as great, if not better than the first one! Tough times will definitely come, and struggles will definitely be inevitable. But I will ‘forget what is behind and strain towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 3:13-14).

Here we go!
